bye bye cherry tree

My neighbors and I had a big dead cherry tree right in the middle of our property lines. Being the wonderful neighbors they are, they agreed to help have this HUGE tree removed. We think it was struck by lightening last April when the bad storms came through. Was very interesting to watch how it was removed.

You can see in this next picture that the guy was still attached to the tree as it was lifted over my house by this big crane.

    i assume you're keeping the prized butternut tree?????

    Yes! The prized butternut has been saved! When it blooms in April, I'm sending a picture of it to the forester and he is going to enter it into the Arkansas Registry...I could very possibly have the champion butternut in Arkansas!!
