bathroom art

I ordered this print from West Elm to hang in the bathroom once everything is complete. Love.

master bath: phase two

Backer board is up. Walls have been waterproofed (scary red stuff). Curb is built. Pan is built. Bathroom floor has been leveled. J channel is installed for the glass panel. And the tile has begun! These guys are fast and awesome! I'm in love with it already.

studs and sheetrock

The joys of an old home! Discovered that the studs behind the main shower wall were hung horizontal instead of vertical. Fortunately, I have awesome subcontractors and they made it all work! I had the shower plumbing moved from the wall that was knocked out to the back wall. The bathroom floor is almost at an inch slope, so my tile guy will be leveling it once he builds the curb. This old house!

master bath tile

I'm using the 3"x6" tiles for the shower walls, curb and bathroom floor. The 1/2" mosaic will be used for the shower floor.

and so it begins...master bath phase one

(notice how the previous owner painted over the wallpaper under the chair rail, and painted around the toilet, toilet paper holder and sink)
